We are currently hiring.

We only hire the best compassionate professionals interested in long-term work and career development with dogs.

Are you looking for a flexible, autonomous position?
Are you interested in independent work, driving in your vehicle, coffee-in hand, music playing-- all with a management team behind the scenes to help you as needed?
Are you knowledgeable in canine behavior, veterinary medicine, or have skills in dog sports?
Do you love the outdoors?
Could you use more kitten cuddles, loving daily puppy snuggles, and adventurous farm visits in your life?
Are you running low on adorable pet photos on your phone's camera?

Well, look no further!

We value our client relationships, and we always go the extra mile to ensure that our clients' pets & homes are cared for, perhaps even better than our own home. When we arrive, we make careful note to do a "Wow!" task that makes the client feel appreciated and offers "next level" customer service. We prefer employees who are veterinary technicians, certified professional dog trainers, or dog training interns.

All positions require:
-Valid drivers license & vehicle insurance
-Working, reliable vehicle available for your use within the workday
-Clean, professional appearance with dog-appropriate attire (closed-toe shoes)
-Weather appropriate outerwear, and crampons/shoe spikes for shoes in icy weather
-Background check, reliable vehicle, and drug testing a must!

If you are interested in a position with Kara's Pet Care, please download the Handlr app to book a job interview with Richie or Kara.
(Note: Please do not download the Handlr Team app)
The app will have you enter a credit card, as it is the same booking tool as for clients. However, have no fear! We would never bill you for a job interview.

In addition, please email your resume, cover letter, and availability to karaspetcareservice@gmail.com, as well as bring these documents to your interview with us. We require an initial interview, phone interview, and then 1-2 working interviews before you can be hired.

We require all of our dog training interns, and potential employees to undergo a "Kara's Pet Care Culture" course. To attend the course, please log in to your Handlr app, and book the course on the app! Kara opens availability for the course a few times weekly. Please dress professionally, and dog appropriately--- And be ready to learn! After learning, we typically have coffee and/or a meal together. This is considered a working interview to see if we are the right fit for one another.
